Tracker Administrator™ allows developers to easily add high-end student reporting to their ToolBook(R) applications. For CBT applications used on a local area network or on dedicated training machines, Tracker Administrator™ gives training managers a wealth of data on student progress. After logging in with a password, the manager has access to reports on all training participants. These reports are able to be sorted as well as printed or exported to a tab-delimited file for use in a database.

Plug-In Pro™, already used by Intel, Lucent, Delco Electronics, The Trane Company, SUNY, and many others, has just been substantially enhanced. Besides including all the new features of the LE version, it has editors that allow you to edit all relevant properties, content, and scripts for all fields, recordfields, buttons, combo boxes, or CBT question widgets on a page. Or you may edit the value of hotwords and page/book properties. This is a tremendous time-saving feature. For example, you can edit all answers, immediate feedback, and delayed feedback of a CBT question from a single entry screen. Or set the "activated" of all 20 fields on a page with one menu selection.

ToolBook Tips - Command Window Scripts

All of us have to do some repetitive tasks while developing CBT or other ToolBook(R) applications. I have found that looking for ways to use the command window can reduce the repetition and boost your productivity. I keep a special text file of command window scripts that I might want to reuse. Here are a few examples

A. Name all fields on a page in sequential order
.................................................

This example names all fields in the format "field 1", "field 2" , etc.

    fieldObj = getObjectList(this page,"field", false)
    fieldCounter = 1
    while fieldObj <> null
         pop fieldObj
         if text of it <> null
              name of it = "field" && fieldCounter
              fieldCounter = fieldCounter + 1
         end if
    end while

B. Change font and point size for all fields on a page

This changes the font of all fields on the page to Arial 11. It also sets the borderStyle and the indents properties.
