Storing User Properties for a Module

Click this button on the Configure Modules screen to use Progress Tracker to store user properties of the selected module. You might want to do this to allow a student to customize his session. For example, you could store (and restore) whether sound was turned on, which narrator he wanted to use, whether to use video, and much more. Or you may want to only store additional parameters for query purposes but not restore them each time.

All current user properties are shown in the list. The property name must be a valid ToolBook property name, meaning that no spaces or special characters are allowed. The property level must refer to a valid object within your module book. In many cases, you will want to leave this as <Book>. Other object references are acceptable, however. Note that you don't want to refer to the book itself -- Progress Tracker takes care of that for you. Properties that are to be restored each session are checked and shown in bold. To restore a property value each session, check it with your mouse. Otherwise, uncheck it. To add a property, click the Add Property button. Progress Tracker will then prompt you to enter the name and level. To delete a property, click the Delete Property button. You can also edit the level of an existing property. Note that you can sort the properties by name, level, or "restore" status. Click on the screen below to learn more.
