Click on this button in the User Property Editor to create a new user property for the selected object. You will be prompted for the name of the object as shown below:

After entering a property name, the program will delete any spaces (since they are not allowed in user property names) and populate the User Property value field with default text that you will edit as shown below.
You then click on the Implement button or select Update from the File menu to save the new property.
